Larry Dean Reed, age 64, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 7:44 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his home.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois with Dave Arnold officiating.  Interment will take place at Springhill Cemetery in St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois.  Memorials may go to the St. Elmo American Legion, or the donor's choice.

Larry was born on July 2, 1959 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Preslie Warren and Lillie Irene (Badman) Reed. He loved wood-working, fishing, mowing, yardwork, and Socializing.

He is survived by his brother, Leslie Reed of St. Elmo; sisters, Linda Rider (husband Michael) of Maple City, Michigan; brother-in-law, David Arnold of Brownstown, Illinois; several nieces, a nephew, cousins, plus great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preslie and Irene Reed; sister, Nancy Arnold and his grandparents.
