Lawrence E. Long, age 90, formerly of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Tennessee State Veteran's Home in Clarksville, Tennessee.

A private graveside service was held at Keen's Chapel Cemetery in rural Farina, Illinois.

Lawrence was born on September 5, 1927 in LaClede, Illinois, the son of Percy and Ivy Olie (Depoister) Long. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his two daughters, Dian White (husband Andy) and Cheryl both of Tennessee; brother, Kenneth Long (wife Norma) of Effingham, Illinois; 10 grandchildren all of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews that he loved like his own.
