Leota Miller, age 101 of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday January 28, 2015 at Willowbrook in Effingham, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday January 30, 2015 United Methodist Church in Watson, Illinois. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 31, 2015 with a viewing one hour prior to service at the United Methodist Church in Watson, Illinois. Carroll Lewis and Jim Whitaker will be officiating. Burial will be in Bethsaida Cemetery in rural Dieterich, Illinois. Leota was born on December 18, 1913, in Clay County, Illinois the daughter of Harry Lewis and Maude (VanDyke). She married Claudius Oral Jacobs on August 22, 1931, he preceded her in death on March 21, 1966. Then was married August 29, 1969 to Paul Miller, he preceded her in death on February 15, 1971. She was a member of the Watson United Methodist Church, BPW, and VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Kibler (husband Steve) of Dieterich, IL; 2 daughters-in-law, Carol Jacobs of Effingham, IL and Sue Jacobs of Altamont, IL; 8 grandchildren, Stefanie Dougherty, Michael Kibler, Beth Smith, Sheri Wahner, Jason Jacobs, Sandy Rose, Barb Staser, and Richard Jacobs; 13 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers, Marvin and William Lewis; sister, Eunice Bowman; 3 sons, Richard, James, and Larry Jacobs.
