Lois E. Meyer, 84, of St. Peter, IL passed away at 1:25 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Parklane Care Center in Wentzville, MO.

Funeral service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church in St. Peter, IL at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 with a one hour viewing prior to service. Reverend William Emrick will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Peter, IL. on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Tuition Assistant Fund for St. Peter Lutheran School or donor's choice.

Lois was born on January 16, 1930 in St. Peter, IL., the daughter of Henry and Emilie (Schnake) Reiss. She married Gilbert J. Meyer on July 27, 1947 in St. Peter, IL. She was a member of the Ladies Aide of the St. Peter Lutheran Church, St. Peter Ladies Auxiliary, and the St. Peter HCE.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary Meyer (wife Margaret) of Castleton, Virginia and Gaylen Meyer (wife Jill) of Sherman, IL.; daughter, Cherilyn Walters (husband Steve) of Wentzville, MO.; 5 grandchildren, Shara, Seth, Saige, Steven, and Christine; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emilie Reiss; husband, Gilbert Meyer; brother, Norman Reiss; sister, Rema Wollin.
