Makenna Grace Bowen, 16 months, of Edgewood, Illinois went to be with the Lord at 8:32 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Nathan Delks will be officiating.  Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood. Memorials may go to the Makenna's Sunshine.

Makenna was born on July 9, 2021 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Colby and Allison (Conrad) Bowen. She loved playing with her sister and her dog, Tucker. She liked to ride horses and to dance and talk. She brought joy to everyone at all times.

She is survived by her parents, Colby and Allison Bowen of Edgewood; sister, Lilliana Bowen of Edgewood; grandparents, Robert and Corletta Bowen, Shane and Lisa and Smith, all of Edgewood and Michael and Desiree Conrad of Effingham; uncles, Jason Bowen (wife Ashley) of Farina, Jakob Conrad of Edgewood, Jesse Smith of Edgewood; cousins, Levi, Jacob, Rodney, and Jason Bowen; and many great-grandparents.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Nathan Bowen.
