Marcus Carlos Massey Sr., age 65, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Elmo with a visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. PeeWee Denton will be officiating. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery. Memorials may go to American Cancer Association, American Diabetes Association, American Kidney Fund,  or the donor's choice.

Marc was born on April 2, 1958 and grew up in Newton, Illinois. He was a truck driver and diesel mechanic. Marc enjoyed working in the yard, playing dominoes, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs play and dominate. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sue; children, Marcus Jr, Robert, Christi, Trampas, and Nature; siblings, Matt, Mike, Lynn, Cimaron, Mia, Mea, and Melody; grandchildren, Dylan, Erik, Anthony Shay, Caitlin, Sydney, Anissa, Shelby, Sarah, Michael, Sean, Kamdyn, Kory, Anthony Wade, Brittany, Cody, Emily, Presley; great-grandchildren, Jaida, Zander, Ryker, Greysin, Everlee, Gabriel, Macy, Rose, Lilly, Iris, Zenia, Sylas, and a baby boy due in May.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Max Gary Massey Sr. and  Mary Joan (Gaede) Massey; brother, Max Gary Massey, JR; Grandson, Gordon Martin
