Obituary
Marietta I. Turner of St. Elmo, IL. passed away at 12:48 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Aperion Care of St. Elmo, IL.
She was laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Mason Cemetery in Mason, IL.
She was born on August 8, 1932 in Mahomet, IL., the daughter of Clarence A. and Mary Ann (Holt) Cooley. She married Carl Bartels on Novemeber 20, 1948 in Lemont, IL. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1968. She then married Edgar Turner on July 30, 1969 in Chattsworth, Ga. He preceded her in death in 2003. She attended the St. Elmo Baptist Church in St. Elmo, IL.
Marietta is survived by her two sons, Eugene (wife Lois) Bartels of Watson, IL., Timothy (wife Samantha) Bartels of Decatur, IL.; three daughters, Christine Stucke of Lockport, IL., Edwina (husband Danny) Tish of St. Elmo, IL., Mary Ann Price of Farina, IL.; two brothers, David (wife Nancy) Cooley of New Lenox, IL., Joe Cooley of Lemont, IL.; two sisters, Lois (husband Robert) Kelly of Tennessee, Lucille (husband Adolph) Kolliarts of Virginia; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by by her son, Carl Jr.; daughter, Clarice Bartels; two brothers, Donald Cooley and Jimmy Cooley; and three sisters, Virginia Zook, Jewel Akers and Vera Reeves.
