Mary J. Beck, age 62, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday. November 17, 2021, at her home.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watson Baptist Church with Van McQueen officiating. There will be a one-hour viewing before the service. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Watson Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Watson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Watson Baptist Church or the donor's choice.

Social distancing and masks are recommended.

Mary was born August 15, 1959, in Blue Mound, Illinois, the daughter of Merle Heth and Joyce (Crawford) Heth. She married Gary Beck and they were married for 41 years. She worked at Kohl's for eight years. She loved her job and especially her team members. She was a member of the Watson Baptist Church and church secretary for 24 years and she was the Watson Village clerk for 8 years. She was a member of Watson Area Community Organization, and a big John Wayne fan. Western movies were her favorite thing to watch. She loved having flowers around the house and having dogs around. Duke and Indiana were favorites.

Mary is survived by her husband, Gary J. Beck of Mason, Illinois; two sons, Matt Beck (wife Lisa) of Teutopolis, Illinois and Chris Beck (special friend, Crystal) of Watson, Illinois; one daughter, Marie Beck (special friend, Chelsea) of Effingham, Illinois; sisters, Jackie Blair ( special friend Dennis) of Effingham, Illinois, half-sister, Evelyn Lash of California; sister-in-law, Sue Heth of Shumway, Illinois; grandchildren, Jaden, Dayton, Caylyn, Ella, Olivia, Auslyn, Axle, Weston, and Brooklyn and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Joyce Heth; two brothers, Harold Heth and Tommy Joe Heth and one nephew, Mark Heth.
