Michael "Mike" Lloyd Greenwood, age 66, of Farina, Illinois passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 in Vandalia, Illinois.  Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois with a visitation two hours prior to service. Rev. Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Interment will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may go to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Improvement Fund, or the donor's choice. Michael was born on September 19, 1958, in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Merle and Virginia (Spencer) Greenwood.

He married Dena Schaal on January 3, 1998 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St. Peter, Illinois.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, working outside, watching Cardinal baseball games and football games.

He is survived by his wife, Dena Greenwood and son, Christopher Greenwood of Farina, Illinois; and sister, Margaret (Tom) Turner of Salem, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Virginia Greenwood, and brothers, Tom and Lewis Greenwood.
