Obituary
Michael Edward Wasmuth, age 63 of St. Peter, IL passed away at 8:05 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at his residence.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Peter, Illinois. There will be ... a private memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter, IL. Peter LeDuc will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Carle Center for Philanthropy or donor's choice.

Michael was born on December 27, 1951 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of William D. and Carol (Kistler) Wasmuth. He married Vanessa Ann Opfer on September 9, 1972 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter, IL. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, collecting farm literature and toy tractors, spending time at the farm, and sitting by the picnic table observing life and nature. He worked at Rothe Chevrolet and Equipment in St. Peter and Greenline in Farina. He also enjoyed farming in his later years.
He is survived by his father, William Wasmuth of Shobonier, IL.; wife, Vanessa Wasmuth of St. Peter, IL.; son, Douglas Wasmuth (special friend Jill Martin) of Carlyle, IL.; two brothers, Edward "Ollie" Wasmuth (wife Traci) of Shobonier, IL., Gene Fenton Jr. of Vandalia, IL.; two sisters, Susan Reuscher (husband Max) of Vandalia, IL., Lori Ann Forehand (husband Joe) of Boulder, IL.; and his special buddies, Jenna and Jaclyn Martin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Fenton, and step-father, Eugene Fenton.
