Michelle Lee (Olsen) Johnson, age 40, passed away at 6:55 p.m.Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her home in St. Elmo, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at St. Elmo Christian Church in St. Elmo, Illinois with a two hour viewing prior to service. Tom Fedrigon will be officiating. Memorials may go to C&A Pagel Funeral Home to defer funeral expenses or donor's choice.

Michelle was born on February 23, 1977 in Lakewood, New Jersey, the daughter of Leroy and Theresa (Ladany) Olsen. She married Joe Johnson on April 14, 2012 at St. Elmo Christian Church.  Michelle was an artist and loved to write.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Johnson of St. Elmo, Illinois; one son, Stephen Spade of Altamont, Illinois; three daughters, Hannah Johnson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Shannon Johnson of St. Elmo, Illinois, Brianna Johnson of St. Elmo, Illinois; one brother, Michael Olsen of Greenwood, South Carolina; one sister, Cristina Hyp (husband Richard) of Greenwood, South Carolina; seven sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law and mother-in-law, Ellen Broomell of Wildwood, New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Theresa Olsen.
