Nadine Ida Davies, age 95 of Redondo Beach, California, formerly of Farina passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at St. Andrews Presbyterian hospital in Redondo Beach, California.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Farina Cemetery in Farina, Illinois.

Nadine was born on August 18, 1928 in Farina, Illinois, the daughter of Jerome and Margaret Jarand.  Nadine loved Jesus from childhood.  She graduated from a nursing program at Presbyterian Hospital and married William Davies on December 26, 1950.  Later, she earned a BS in nursing from the University of Illinois and William graduated as a medical doctor.

They moved to California where Nadine taught Nursing Arts at LA County Hospital.  Nadine served in many ways: the hospitals' Women's Auxiliary, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, Mexico Medical Missions, camp nurse, YYWAM Mercy Ships recovery nurse, Love Inc, and feeding people at St. Andrews.  Nadine supported prolife causes and counseled women outside of abortion clinics, living to see babies she helped save grow into wonderful adults.

William passed away on November 14, 2023 after 72 years of marriage to Nadine.

She is survived by her four daughters: Jean, Rebecca, Susan and Julie; her 24 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jerome and Margaret Jarand; husband, William Davies; and siblings Leon, Lorain, Paul, and Pearl.
