Nancy Sue Willis

Nancy Sue Willis, age 80, of Effingham, Illinois, formerly of Mason, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Per Nancy’s request, there will be a private service at a later date.

Nancy was born June 28, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Paul Pierson Priser and Mary Katherine Okey Priser. She married Robert Allen Willis on August 20, 1965, in Winterhaven, California. Nancy was a seamstress at the Glove Factory in Effingham, was an in-home healthcare worker, and worked many retail jobs. She loved to watch Westerns, garage selling, and baking. She treasured time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Todd (Irma) Willis of Lubbock, Texas, Travis Willis of Watson, Illinois; daughters, Tamera (Russell) Pattie of Jacksonville, Illinois, Trinetta (Danny Barger) Verdeyen of Effingham, Illinois; brother, Paul “Buddy” Priser of San Diego, California; 23 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, Paul and Mary; siblings, Kathy Davis and Ronnie Priser and, grandson, Joshua Willis.
