Patricia K. Lotz, age 80, of St. Peter, Illinois, went to her heavenly home on Friday, September 25, 2026 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with visitation from 9:30 until time of service. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Timothy Landskroener will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church & School, or donor’s choice. Patricia was born on July 28, 1946 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of George and Irene (Westendorf) Bergfeld. She married Carroll Lotz on May 4,1963 at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Teutopolis, Illinois. She was a retired custodian from the Vandalia Courthouse; she also cooked at St. Peter’s Lutheran School after her retirement.She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She loved quilting, gardening, and above all, her family. She also loved spending time on the back patio with their many, many friends.

Pat is survived by her husband, Carroll Lotz of St. Peter; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Tyler) Sowle of Fair Play, MO; Mitchell Buzzard of St. Elmo; sisters, Kathleen French of Effingham, Diane Marquis of Mt. Zion, Jane (Tim) Swofford of Decatur, and Connie Bergfeld of Energy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Lotz (fiancé Diane Collier); daughter, Sandy Buzzard; son-in-law, Dean Buzzard; and brother, Dan Bergfeld.
