Paul Leroy Lash

Paul Leroy Lash, Jr., age 76, of Farina, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at his daughter’s home in rural Dieterich, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood, Illinois. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the start of service. Burial will take place in the Farina Cemetery, Farina, Illinois. Jim Giffin will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospice or donor’s choice. Paul was born on February 03,1950, in Vandalia, Illinois the son of Paul “Blackie” L. Lash and Leila (Quandt, Lash) Quick. Paul was baptized and later confirmed at the Freidens United Church of Christ of Farina, Illinois. Paul was a farmer for most of his life and recently retired. Paul was a member of the Edgewood Masonic Lodge, Shriners, and the Clay County Soil and Water Conservation Board.

Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always looking for the next business adventure, anything agriculture, and operating his bulldozer.

Paul is survived by his son, Chris Lash of Arkansas; daughters, Barbara (husband, Darrell) Schaal of rural Farina, and Windy (husband, Daniel) Westfall of rural Dieterich, Illinois; daughter-in-law Chelsea Lash of Arkansas; grandson Justin (wife, Megan) Schaal; grand-daughter Jordan (husband, Jacob) Pontious all of rural Farina; grandchildren, Leila, Parker, Cora and Christopher Lash of Arkansas, Great-grandchildren, Ty and Toby Schaal and Elsie Pontious of rural Farina, Illinois, sister Brenda (husband, Richard) Shouse of Indiana and Fred (wife, Sandy) Lash of Watson, Illinois.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
