Phylis Ann Dial, age 69, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 11:06 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, with her family by her side.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorials may go to American Cancer Society, Relay For Life, or the donor's choice.

Phylis was born on October 16, 1952 in Champaign, Illinois, the daughter of Carol W. and Mary A. (Huddlestun) Jamison. She loved glo bingo and reading. Phylis was an extremely kind soul who touched everyone that she ever met. She was known to give to those in need even if she needed it herself.

She is survived by her son, Jamison Dial of Effingham; daughter, Jenna Pontious (Ryan French) of Effingham; sisters, Laurie Bagby (husband Tim) of Champaign and Karen Sanders of Centralia; three grandchildren, Remington Pontious, Colt Pontious, and Monica French; son-in-law, Eric Pontious.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Mary Jamison.
