Rebecca J. Hissong, age 57, of Brownstown, Illinois passed away at 5:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at her home.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at New Horizon Church in St. Elmo with a two-hour visitation prior to the service. PeeWee Denton will be officiating. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery. Memorials may go to the family to help with funeral expenses, New Horizon Church, or the donor's choice.

Rebecca was born on November 30, 1965 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Bud and June (Riley) Rhodes. She married Michael Hissong on February 2, 2002 at St. Elmo Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the tanning salon, and mowing the lawn. Rebecca was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Hissong of Brownstown; sons, Tommy Stockton (wife Nicole) of Mason, Ronnie Spence (wife Maddie) of Hillsboro, Robbie Spence (wife Shelby) of Brownstown, Zach Janssen (wife Jamie) of Brownstown, Gilbert Hissong (fiancé Raelynn) of Brownstown; daughters, Kyzara Hissong of Brownstown, and Morgan Hissong of Brownstown; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and June Rhodes; and brothers, Aaron Rhodes and Donald "Skip" Rhodes.
