Ruby Caldwell, age 78 formerly of Edgewood, IL passed away at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Effingham Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, IL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 with one hour viewing prior to service at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood. Judy Poe is officiating. Burial will be at the Edgewood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Cemetery.

She was born on February 17, 1936 in Gilmore, IL, the daughter of Lewis and Violet (Landreth) Yingst. She married Thomas Wayne Caldwell on December 21, 1956 in Edgewood, IL. Ruby and her husband owned and operated Edgewood Service Station for several years. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Ruby leaves behind her two sons, Emmett Caldwell (wife Mary) and Doug Caldwell (wife Kathy) both of Edgewood, IL; two daughters, Becky Beccue (husband Ron) of Edgewood, IL and Dorothy Moschenrose (husband Jim) of Watson, IL; six brothers, James Yingst (wife Kay) of Farina, IL., Victor Yingst (wife Debra) of Edgewood, IL, Carl Yingst of Effingham, IL., Robert Yingst (wife Sara) Farina, IL., David Yingst (wife Christy) of Clay City, IL., Glenn Yingst (wife Diana) of Edgewood, IL; four sisters, Maxine Wilson of Edgewood, IL., Violet Lilly (husband Don) of Louisville, IL., Ruth Ann Liska of Mason, IL., and Fern Hays (husband Terry) of Mason, IL;10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Wayne Caldwell; brother, Buddy Yingst; three sisters, Kathleen Maris, Betty Fancher, Emma Davis and one great grandson, Micheal Caldwell.
