Ruby Sapp, age 81, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her home.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, Illinois. Roger Marshall will be officiating. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, IL. Memorials may be made to Lincoln Land HSHS Hospice or donor's choice.

Ruby was born on October 23, 1933 in Effingham, IL. the daughter of Lawrence McWhorter and Bernadine Bushue. She married Joie Dean Sapp on December 9, 1980 in Edgewood, IL. She was proud of working at the Union 76 Truck Plaza and was very instrumental in starting one of the first senior citizen clubs in Effingham. She was a caregiver for many years for Ralph VanDyke. She was also very proud of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Joseph and Richard Schoenhoff; 4 daughters, Deanie Foltz, Cinderella Kenter (husband William A.), Jeanie Schoenhoff, Tina Carson (husband Dennis); 14 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; special friends, Cindy Miller, Jerry VanDyke and Jene Brentlinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Bernadine McWhorter; 6 brothers, Louie, Junior, Ferd, Vern, Albert, and Ernest McWhorter; 3 sisters, Beaulah Nacke, Mary Demascal, Stella McWhorter husband, Joie Dean Sapp; one son, Laverne Schoenhoff.
