Sherwin E. Albrecht, age 94, of St. Peter, Illinois passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shobonier, Illinois. The visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor David Hoehler will be officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may go to Lutheran Care Center, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or the donor's choice. Sherwin was born on November 25, 1929 in Wilberton Township, Illinois, the son of Edgar and Cordelia (Neubauer) Albrecht. He married Marcella Ehrat on January 1, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Augsburg.  Sherwin was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed mowing his yard, gardening, and tending to his flowers.

He is survived by his wife, Marcella Albrecht of Altamont; sister, Marlene Forester (husband Joe) of Detroit, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Beth Stroble of St. Louis, MO; extended family, Larry VonBehren (wife Kathy), Kristyn Rosenkoetter (husband Brian), Kaylee, Carson ,and Lane Rosenkoetter, Kayla Etcheson (husband Jake), Kylie and Easton Etcheson, all of St. Peter and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Cordelia Albrecht and two sons, James Albrecht and Max Albrecht in infancy.
