Shirley L. Pilcher, age 83, passed away on August 22, 2016 in Meridian, Idaho.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 03, 2017 at Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, Illinois. Jim Giffin will be officiating. Memorials may go to Alzheimer's Association or donor's choice.

Shirley was born on April 11, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Vesta (Evans) Davis. She attended LaGrove High School in Farina, Illinois. She married Arkell Pilcher on October 28, 1949 in Effingham, Illinois. Shirley was a homemaker. She enjoyed her church, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She and Arkell resided in Decatur, Illinois before moving to Idaho in 1991.

She is survived by her son, Barry Pilcher (wife Alda) of Boise, Idaho; one sister, Beverly Childers (husband Robert) of Flora, Illinois; 6 grandchildren Meghan, John, Kristen, Rachael, Stephanie, and Clint; 8 great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law Chari Pilcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Vesta Davis; one son, Terry Pilcher and one brother, Joseph Davis.
