Susan Allen, age 72, of Effingham, Illinois left this world for a better one where there is no pain or suffering on May 13, 2025 at St Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

As per Susan's wishes, she will be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the Effingham Public Library. Online condolences may be expressed at www.pagelfuneralhome.com.

Susan was born on October 14th, 1952, the daughter of D.J. and Wilma (Wicke) Allen.  She spent most of her life in Destin, FL as an accomplished artist of fine jewelry.  Her greatest pleasures in life were travelling the world and reading books.

She is survived by her brother, James (Pam) Allen of St. Peter; nephews Michael of Elkville, Matthew of Altamont; niece, Mackenzie Thompson (husband David) of Aiken, SC; and her beloved dog Max.

She was preceded in death by her parents, D.J. and Wilma Allen.
