Obituary
Vera Ann Stewart, age 76, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 1:32 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. Arrangements are being made with C & A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Vera was born on January 24, 1939 in Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter of William and Leona (Lawson) Hugh. She married Marvin John Stewart on April 6, 1956 and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2012. She was a Deaconess at the Grandbury Seventh Day Adventist Church in Grandbury, Texas.
She is survived by her son, John Stewart of Effingham, Illinois; daughter, Debbie Barlow (husband Jeff) of Effingham, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Shawn and Scottie Packwood and Charlie and Karen Barlow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Leona Hugh; daughter, Sherri Stewart; twin babies in infancy and brother, Raymond Hugh.
