William "Bill" Charles Durbin, 76, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, October 05, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Funeral service will be Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the St. Elmo Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. with one hour viewing prior to service.  Tom Fedrigon will be officiating.  Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo, Illinois.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at St. Elmo Christian Church.  Memorials may be made to the family to be given to the Team Justin Cancer Fund or St. Elmo Christian Church.

Bill was born on October 20, 1937 in Fayette County the son of Elwood E. and Ida Mae (Harner) Durbin. He married Rosa Marie Mills on June 2, 1957 at the Christian Church in St. Elmo. He was a member of the St. Elmo Christian Church. He enjoyed woodcutting, NASCAR, camping, watching his grandkids in high school sports, deer hunting, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Durbin of St. Elmo, IL.; two sons, Gene Durbin (wife Vicki) of St. Elmo, IL., Mark Durbin (wife Jeannie) of Mason, IL.; two daughters, Debbie Orr (husband Steve) of St. Elmo, IL., Brenda Moore (husband Vance) of Brownstown, IL.; sister, Mary Lou Tipps (husband Henry) of Springfield, IL.; best friend, his dog Buddy; 5 grandchildren, Josh Durbin, Jeni Haslett, Justin Durbin, Shelbi  Durbin, Gabi Moore; 3 great-grandchildren, Joslyn Durbin, Aubree Durbin, Parker Haslett, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Iris Davis and Deloris Eggers.
