Betty G. Anderson

Betty G. Anderson, age 81, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Aperion Care Nursing Home in St. Elmo, Illinois.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with a one hour viewing prior to the service.  Mark White will be officiating. Burial will be at the Leith Cemetery in rural Mason, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Christian Church in Mason, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mason Christian Church, Leith Cemetery, Full Armor Christian Academy, or the donor’s choice. 

Betty was born on February 27, 1940 in Effingham, Illinois to William B. and Esta Marie (Warner) Cameron. She married Floyd L. Anderson on December 27, 1958 at the old Sacred Heart Church in the Effingham, Illinois.

Betty worked as a secretary for many years. She was a member of the Mason Christian Church and the Effingham Junior Women’s Club. She enjoyed reading books, coloring books, working jigsaw puzzles, and doing search and find books. Betty loved spending time with her family and her dog Rudy.  She also played the piano at the Mason Christian Church for several years.

She is survived by her three sons, Douglas Anderson (wife Dorene) of Columbia Missouri, Brian Anderson (wife Denise) of Mason, Illinois, John Anderson (wife Kelly) of Mason, Illinois; one daughter, Angie Ingram (husband Greg) of Mason, Illinois; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William and Esta Cameron; her husband, Floyd Anderson after 43 years of marriage, and one son, James Dean Anderson infancy.
