Glenn Allen Higgs II

Glenn Allen Higgs II, age 51, of Watson, Illinois passed away at 10:42 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Watson Civic Center. Casual attire is recommended by the family. Interment will take place at a later date in Arborcrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Glenn’s family or the donor’s choice. 

Glenn was born on October 27, 1971 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Glenn Allen Higgs I and Barbara Weiffenbach. He enjoyed hunting, being in the company of his family and friends, relaxing, fishing, gardening and tending to his yard.

He is survived by his mom, Barbara Weiffenbach of Effingham; sisters, Candice Higgs of Watson and Kristi Welch (husband Brandon) of Effingham; nine nieces and nephews, Matthew Higgs (wife Sadie), Johnathan Higgs, Brance Welch, Clifford Higgs, Ethan Welch, Alexus Baker, Aubrey Baker, Isabella Baker, Clutch Baker; great nephew, Eli; great-niece, Iris; and aunts, Elaine Higgs, Nancy Palm, Judy Weiffenbach all of Watson, and Becky Burris of Beecher City.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Glenn Allen Higgs I; paternal grandparents, Paul “Jack” and Virginia Higgs; maternal grandparents, Byron “Barney” and Betty Weiffenbach; uncle, Garrett Higgs.
