She married Joe Raymond Montgomery on October 12, 1954 in Oakland City, Indiana. Grace served beside Joe as a pastor’s wife ministering to nine different churches. She loved to sing, teach Sunday School, work with the youth, was the founder of a public-school bible study and snack program, crocheted prayer shawls for people suffering with an illness, and hosted multiple events in their home. Grace was an active member of the Newton Free Methodist Church. Outside of church, the joy of her life was spending time with family and friends.
