Judy Marnell Davis

Judith Marnell Davis, age 79, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 8:05 p.m. Friday, November 13. 2020 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

There will be a private family service. A walk-thru viewing will be open to the public from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Burial will be at Bethsaida Cemetery in Dieterich, Illinois. Memorials may go to Bethsaida Congregational Christian Church, Bethsaida Cemetery, or the donor’s choice.

Judy was born on January 17, 1941 in Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of Emery and Valeria (Jacobs) Schwengel. She married Marvin L. Davis on May 1, 1959 at Bethsaida Congregational Christian Church in Dieterich, Illinois. She was a member of Bethsaida Congregational Christian Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading books, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Terry Davis (wife Lisa) Windsor, Illinois; daughter, Kemmy Claar (husband Ed) of Galveston, Texas; brother, Bill Schwengel (wife Avanell) of Dieterich, Illinois; sister-in-law, Carol Ridgeway (husband Leon) of Decatur, Illinois and Laurette Davis of Vandalia, Illinois; 5 grandchildren Cherity McGee (husband Dylan), Jonathan Pontious (wife Stephanie), Chris Davis (wife Heidi), Josh Davis, Adam Davis; 7 great-grandchildren, Kamryn Bartels (husband Jeremiah), Logan Pontious, Leah Pontious, Ariyana McGee, Reid McGee, Noah Davis, Evan Davis, and one on the way; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Valeria Schwengel; husband, Marvin Leroy Davis.
