Larry Huddlestun Obituary

Larry Eugene Huddlestun, age 64, of St. Elmo passed away at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

There will be a private family service. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery in rural Beecher City, Illinois. Memorials may go to his family or the donor’s choice. 

Larry was born on March 4, 1956 in Christian County, Illinois, the son of Wilbert E. and Josephine (Nordyke) Huddlestun. He married Marlena Jane Ledbetter on January 27, 1979 in Decatur, Illinois. He was a former volunteer Fireman for St. Elmo for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on lawnmowers, tinkering with anything mechanical, and spending time with his family and friends. Larry was known by many and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his three daughters, Mindy Noll (husband Trent) of St. Elmo, Illinois; Danielle Fehrenbacher (husband Josh) of Ingraham, Illinois and Anna Dunaway (husband Luke) of St. Elmo, Illinois; brothers, Gene Huddlestun, Wilbert Huddlestun (companion Flo), Wesley Huddlestun (wife Nina), Gary Huddlestun; sister, Diana Hicks; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Josephine Huddlestun; wife, Marlena Huddlestun; several brothers and sisters; sisters-in-law, Nancy Huddlestun and Brenda Huddlestun.
