Obituary

Larry Dean Reed, age 64, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 7:44 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his home.

Memorial service will be at a later date. Interment will take place at Springhill Cemetery in St. Elmo. Memorials may go to the St. Elmo American Legion, or the donor’s choice.

Larry was born on July 2, 1959 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Preslie Warren and Lillie Irene (Badman) Reed. He loved wood-working, fishing, mowing, yardwork, and Socializing.

He is survived by his brother, Leslie Reed of St. Elmo; sisters, Linda Rider (husband Michael) of Maple City, Michigan; brother-in-law, David Arnold of Brownstown, Illinois; several nieces, a nephew, cousins, plus great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preslie and Irene Reed; sister, Nancy Arnold and his grandparents.
