Leland Keith Meseke

Leland K. Meseke, age 75, of St. Peter, Illinois passed away at 3:25 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Lakeland Rehab and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.

Memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Peter, Illinois with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may go to Leland’s family or the donor’s choice. 

Leland was born on January 22, 1948 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Wilbert and Cordelia Martha (Buth) Meseke. He married Nada J. Schaal on April 25, 1987 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He loved cleaning and polishing his Harley Davidson, outdoor photography, collecting eagles, mushroom hunting, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nada Meseke of St. Peter; daughter, Melissa Craycroft of Farina; brother, Michael Meseke (wife Jill) of Chatham; three grandchildren, Lindsey Rogers, Heather Dean (husband Colt), Dakota Bockstruck (Brandon McElroy); six great-grandchildren, Rya Lewey, Dalton Rogers, Damian Dean, Blaze Rogers, Cory McElroy, Braxten Rogers; and several loving nieces and nephews.     

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Cordelia Meseke and daughter, Kimberly Jo Randle.
