Lorean Macklin

Lorean Macklin, age 102, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 4:51 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at her home in Mason, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Mark White will be officiating. Burial will be at Leith Cemetery in Mason, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Memorials may go to Leith Cemetery, Loy Cemetery or the donor’s choice.

Lorean was born on February 8, 1916 in Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of Olin Alonzo and Carrie (Tennant) Loy. She married Perry F. Macklin on October 1, 1932 in Mason, Illinois. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Jim Macklin (wife Sharon) of Mason, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Judi Macklin Heitman (husband Dale) of Watson, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Bill Macklin, Cheryl Beam (husband Charles), Mike Macklin (wife Tammy), Carrie Underly (husband Jim), David Macklin (wife Vicki), Jared Macklin (wife Melissa), Travis Macklin, Jay Macklin (wife Emily) and Josh Macklin (wife Jamie) and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olin Alonzo and Carrie Loy; husband, Perry F. Macklin; three sons, Danny Macklin, Ron Macklin and John Macklin; five brothers, Ralph Loy, Chod Loy, Ken Loy, Lonnie Loy, Jack Loy; two sisters, Freda Peters Walls, Ena Lankford.
