Robert H. Brown Sr.

Robert “Bobby” Howard Brown Sr., age 70, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 4:29 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery in rural Brownstown, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Pagel Funeral Homes, 100 N. Olive Street, St. Elmo, IL 62458 to offset funeral expenses. 

Bobby was born October 8, 1952 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Olof and Jean (Bollinger) Brown.  He married Betty Ann Williams in December 1981.  Bobby graduated from Lakeland College with an associate degree in agriculture. He loved to plant flowers and plants, loved gardening and animals, and enjoyed mushroom hunting. Bobby was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Brown; two sons, Charles Brewbaker of St. Elmo and Robert Brown Jr. (wife Misty) of St. Elmo; daughter, Tina Heimann of Montrose; brothers, Ricky Brown (wife Connie) of Farina; sisters, Barbara Durbin of St. Elmo, Nancy Durbin (husband Charlie) of St. Elmo, Brenda Stielow (husband Steve) of Galena and Melody Jenkins (husband Jim) of Lakewood; and grandchildren, Kelsey and Emily Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Brown and daughter-in-law, Katie Brewbaker.
