Steven G Grobengieser

Steven Gordon Grobengieser, age 70, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home in Xenia, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Robert Webb and Ronnie Frazier will be officiating. Burial will be at Arborcrest Memorial Park in Effingham, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Memorials may go to the donor’s choice.

Steve was born on July 6, 1950 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Gordon L. and Nola L. (McGuire) Grobengieser. He was a member of the Crooked Creek Baptist Church in Iola, Illinois. Steve enjoyed fishing, animals, wood carving, watching old movies on the cowboy channel, and spending time with his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Tammy Allen (husband Troy) of Xenia, Illinois and Tonya Grobengieser of Cowden, Illinois; sisters, Susan Rankin (husband Steve) of Decatur, Illinois and Skye Renee Brown of Decatur, Illinois; cousins, Jean Heth of Mason, Illinois, Mary and Dennis Stuemke of Altamont, Illinois, Kathy and Gary Grobengieser of Mason, Illinois;

friends, Jackie Williamson of Dieterich, Illinois, Dave and Rita Edwards of St. Elmo, Illinois; and his fur-children, Addie and Peewee.     

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Nola Grobengieser; daughters, Tabatha Grobengieser and Dawn Grobengieser; friend, Don Williamson.
