Obituary

Ted P. Shoemaker, age 85, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 12:31 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023 peacefully at his home.

There will be no services at this time. Memorials may go to Broken Chains Mission at 5955 Omega Road Iuka, Illinois 62849.

Ted was born on July 26, 1938 in Liberal, Kansas, the son of Howard and Ester (Richardson) Shoemaker. He was a member of the Edgewood American Legion Post# 1168. He loved fishing, cruising on his Ranger, and socializing.

He is survived by his daughters, Pam Karnes (husband Steve) of Arkansas, Brenda Manuel of Edgewood, and Jan Siebert of Garden City, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Linda Shoemaker of Oklahoma; sister, Helen Smith of Texas; 13 grandchildren, Brittany Garrett ( Shawn), Beau Manuel (Sydney), Jaime Crane (Kerry), Dana Sandoval (Carlos), Sam Karnes, Travis Karnes (LeAnn), Brandy Kay Shoemaker, Scott Shoemaker, Aaron Shoemaker (Krysti), Josh Siebert (MJ), Jacob Siebert, Eli Siebert (Stephanie), Katie Siebert and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Donnie Shoemaker and Ted W. Shoemaker; brothers, Bob Shoemaker, Tom Shoemaker, and Stanley Shoemaker; son-in-law, Darrin Siebert; granddaughter, Amanda Keaton and one infant grandson.
