Wesley Horath Obituary

Wesley Glen Horath, age 77, of Farina, Illinois passed away at 2:46 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at his home.

There will be no services. Memorials may go to the donor’s choice. 

Wesley was born on July 22, 1945 in Effingham County, Illinois, the son of Henry A. and Roberta L. (Yingst) Horath. He married Mary Jane Winchester on August 21, 1965 in Effingham, Illinois. He was the current Trustee for Larkinsburg Township. Wesley enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and socializing with others, especially with the guys at the coffee shop.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Horath of Farina; sons, Brian Horath (wife Angie) of Farina and Darin Horath of Farina; daughter, Lorinda Poe (husband Brad) of Effingham; brothers, Hank Horath (wife April) of Wisconsin, Darrell Horath (wife Shirley) of Farina, Fred Horath (wife Peggy) of Kansas, Kevin Horath (wife Donna) of Iola; sisters, Mary Murry (husband Larry) of Edgewood and Robbi Stone (husband Kenny) of Effingham;  sister-in-law, Janice Horath of Braidwood, Illinois; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Roberta Horath; brothers, Gary Horath in infancy, Conrad Horath, Emmett Horath, and John Horath; sister, Mabel Horath in infancy; daughter-in-law, Mary; and granddaughter, Isabella Rose Horath in infancy.
