Corey Gene Stice, age 53 of Effingham, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2017 at Carle Clinic in Champaign, Illinois.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made in Corey’s name by becoming an organ donor as he was and will be appreciated by his family.

Corey was confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Effingham, Illinois.  He was a fun loving, and a generous person who loved to go fishing and spend quality time with family and friends that he loved.

Corey is survived by his parents, Michael Stice of Oklahoma, mother, Vicki R. Esch, and step-father, Frederick Esch of Madisonville, Tennessee; daughter, Lindsey Jackson of Illinois; brother, Michael R. Stice of Moore Haven, Florida; sister, Michelle Britton, St. Elmo, Illinois; grandmothers, Rosemary Owen of St. Elmo, Illinois, and Berniedean “Muzz” Robinson of Edgewood, Illinois; three aunts, Sue Hopper of Mattoon, Illinois, Wilma Stice and Susie Owen both of St. Elmo, Illinois; four uncles, Steve Robinson (wife Pat) and Kelly Robinson (wife Carol) of Edgewood, Illinois, Roger Robinson of Texas and Ray Scott of St. Elmo, Illinois; three grandchildren Alaxander, Nathaniel and Robby Kraus of Illinois; many nieces and nephews.

Corey was preceded in death by his beloved grandfathers, Joe Owen and Vern Robinson.
