Donna Ellen Claar, age 76, of Effingham, Illinois, formerly of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 9:40 p. m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at C&A Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Elmo, Illinois. Judy Poe will be officiating. There will be a burial at a later date. Memorials may go to the family. 

Donna was born on March 06, 1941 in St. Elmo, Illinois, the daughter of George and Cora (Haslett) Jenkins. Donna was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball fan. She loved to go resale shopping, her animals and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, George Willis (wife Donna) of Teutopolis, Illinois and Doug Claar of Effingham, Illinois; daughter, Susan Mueller (husband Clifford) of Stewardson, Illinois; three sisters, Nellie Arnold (husband Stanley) of Clinton, Illinois, Carrie Miller (husband Roger) of Effingham, Illinois and Phyllis Whitehead of St. Peter, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Krista Willis, Kayla Willis, Blake Willis, Cody Helmuth, Jake Helmuth, Mariah Kitterman, Damion Kitterman, Hayden and Haley and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora Jenkins; five brothers, Bill Jenkins, Gene Jenkins, Frank Jenkins, Dick Jenkins, George Jenkins; one son, Denny Ray Willis; one daughter, Leisa Willis and one grandchild, Brandon Schoonover.
