Fleda was the custodian at East Side when I attended there as a child. I returned years later in 1994 and taught there for 3 years. I was so happy to discover that Fleda was still there. She continued to take great care of me as a teacher, just as she did when I was a student. I could always count on her. She was more than a coworker, she was a true friend. East Side was a better place because of her. She was so important in the lives of many children and adults.

Fleda meant so much to those of us who attended East Side. I remember the frequent hugs & smiles she'd give me through the years. Her presence at East Side was a comfort to many.... like a grandmother for all of us. She definitely made a positive impact on many, many lives. Praying that memories will bring you comfort.
